So acute low back pain is normally pain that you've been experiencing for under a month, and the first piece of advice I want to give you is to understand its natural history. If you look at the data normally within six to eight weeks of that first experiencing that low back pain, this will start to resolve by itself with no treatment.
I'll repeat that again. Within six to eight weeks, the low back pain will resolve by itself with no treatment. So during that time, I still want you to remain active. I still want you to keep doing what you're doing and maybe modify some of your activities. But going back to the natural history of acute low back pain, normally this will start to resolve in six to eight weeks.
